I have teamed up, this year with my colleague, Dan Hultgren, and we hope to provide ever better service for our clients while having more time to spend with our families.
As Real Estate Professionals, we have come to understand the complexities of the Real Estate Transaction and how confusing it can be for Buyers, Sellers, and even those experienced with the process.Our aim, asREALTORs ®, is to make sure our clients are aware of the process of looking for a home or selling a home, understanding the offer process, working through the escrow and what is expected of them and others involved.In 2010, Dan and Dorothy joined together to help insure our clients receive the best service.When one is not available the other can serve as a backup for questions or showing homes.Our joint experience and skills make us uniquely qualified to provide excellent service to our clients.Together, 2010, they have closed 40 transactions for a value of over $4.6 million.Both Dorothy and Dan have served on the Board of Directors for the Merced County Association of REALTORS® (M.C.A.R. ) , as well as the Finance and MLS committees. In 2010 Dan served as Secretary/Treasurer for M.C.A.R. Dorothy has been President of the M.C.A.R. in 2008 and MLS Committee Chairman in 2007.Both have been REALTORS® for over 6 years.Dan and Dorothy have helped their clients successfully buy and sell traditional homes sales, as well as Bank-owned properties and Short Sales.We have found Real Estate to be very rewarding and it has brought a new awareness of the community we live in. Tips for Buying a Home
Have a real estate professional guide you through the entire purchasing process. This person's responsibility is to help you negotiate with buyers as well as help you prepare your home for sale, market it locally or nationally and guide you through the complex paperwork of escrow and closing. Talk to more than one Realtor to determine his or her experience and willingness to work with you in order to find the perfect home. Do your own research as well. You can travel through your favorite areas and neighborhoods, read real estate sales publications, search the Internet, and talk to others who may know of properties that may fit your requirements.
Some individuals consider selling their homes without a Realtor. These sales are typically called “for sale by owner” or FSBO and may sound appealing at first. However, the seller will be required to take on the time and all expense of selling the home that the Realtor would normally handle. A seller must also be able to handle the complex paperwork, pitfalls [and liabilities] of escrow and closing. It's important to understand that any error can be extremely expensive, so it’s definitely in a seller’s best interest to choose a real estate professional that is highly trained to market and sell his or her property.
