I have teamed up, this year with my colleague, Anna Newkirk, and we hope to provide ever better service for our clients while having more time to spend with our families.
As Real Estate Professionals, we have come to understand the complexities of the Real Estate Transaction and how confusing it can be for Buyers, Sellers, and even those experienced with the process.
Together, Anna and I have over 11 years of experience with over 150 transactions and more than $15 million worth of sold homes. Dorothy has served on the Board of Directors for the Merced County Association of REALTORS® (M.C.A.R. ) , as well as the Finance and MLS committees. Dorothy has been President of the M.C.A.R. in 2008 and MLS Committee Chairman in 2007. Dorothy is a charter member of the San Joaquin Valley Chapter of WCR and has been VP of Membership and is presently vice-Chair. Dorothy and Anna have helped their clients successfully buy and sell traditional homes sales, as well as Bank-owned properties and Short Sales.

Buying a home is a complex process which can take several months. From getting qualified for a loan to getting the keys, a real estate agent can guide you through the process and answer your questions every step of the way. Many people feel that they should just call the listing agent of the property to handle the sale, as well, but I believe having an agent whose job is to represent only your interests and not your and the sellers can provide the best service for the buyer.

Why use a REALTOR? Our expertise will help avoid some of the pitfalls of pricing your home too high or too low. We can help you stage your home for maximum effect. What happens if the buyer gives you a list of repairs, do you have to do them? What disclosures are required by law whether you use a REALTOR or not? Have you heard the horror stories of people who sold their home without using a professional and were taken to court for not disclosing something which most of us take for granted? We can tell you what disclosures are required - although the golden rule of disclosure is "When in doubt, DISCLOSE!"

In addition we do the tradtiional steps - putting your home on the Gonella Realty and the Merced County Realtor tour, having an open house, and marketing to your neighbors. Often we have a buyer looking for a home just like yours! We are willing to work hard - but we also work smart!
And best of all, we offer an easy exit guarantee: If we do not have an accepted offer on your home at any time, and you want to remove the home from the market, we will do so! We respectfully request that you give us at least 30 days to market the home, but it is up to you!
